The weather is getting warmer again, so I can come out of hibernating! I have a few local events coming up in the next few months, and I would love to share them with you.
I will be speaking about the Cemetery Kids books, both of them. And I have a surprise on that front. The Kindred Spirit Mailbox is featured in both books so I thought I’d talk about that as well. I will talk about the REAL Kindred Spirit. I have some special emails Claudia and I exchanged that I’ll be reading, plus, I will pass out some journals that I have collected for people to look through before I take them to UNCW in May. I should have enough journals for each person to thumb through one while I’m presenting. I’ve always felt bad about all the people who can’t get down to the Mailbox and so don’t have a chance to see some of the wonderful and touching writing in the journals. There will be several art selections of the mailbox on hand so people can feel as if they’re on Bird Island, sitting on the bench by the Mailbox.
I will be signing books with Southern author, Kim Boykin, author of Palmetto Moon, She’s the One, Sweet Home Carolina, and many other wonderful books on Sunday, April 26th at the Silver Coast Winery for The Old Bridge Preservation Society’s third annual Strawberry Festival.
I will also be the moderator for a panel of speakers at The Coastal Museum of North Carolina on Tuesday evening, June 23rd at 7PM. More on this later.
