My friend Sandy and I took our weekly bike ride over to the Kindred Spirit Mailbox today, but today was special because we were on a mission–to put up a new flag! Last week I posted on my facebook page (follow me for even more frequent updates) that the American Flag from the flagpole and the spare kept in the mailbox were gone. So with a donation of a new flag we rode out to replace it. We were glad we could restore it before Memorial Day. We also had another rider join us today and it was her first visit to the mailbox, so glad we should share this local treasure with her!
